At Radwinter CofE (VA) Primary School, we are proud to welcome and support all families within our community — including our valued Forces families. We understand that being part of a Forces family brings unique experiences, challenges, and strengths, and we are committed to providing a caring, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and can flourish.
Our Commitment to Forces Families
We recognise the important role that Forces families play in our community and the sacrifices they make. As part of our commitment, we follow the Armed Forces Covenant, which guides us to support our Forces children with sensitivity and understanding. We strive to ensure that these children feel secure, supported, and included in all aspects of school life, reflecting our Christian values of kindness, respect, fairness, and service.
With over 25 years of experience as a member of the Forces community, Mrs Fuller brings invaluable insight into the unique challenges and strengths of service families. She is dedicated to supporting our Forces families and serves as a key point of contact for any questions or concerns. Her understanding helps us tailor our approach to ensure the wellbeing and happiness of these children remains at the heart of everything we do."
How We Support Forces Children
- Understanding Transitions: We know that Forces children may experience frequent moves and parental deployments. We work closely with families to provide stability, continuity, and emotional support during these times.
- Inclusive Curriculum and Community: Our broad, balanced curriculum and daily collective worship promote a sense of belonging and spiritual growth, helping Forces children connect with our school family and wider community.
- Communication and Partnership: We maintain open lines of communication with Forces families to understand their unique circumstances and provide tailored support.
- Celebrating Diversity: In line with our vision to prepare all children for life in a multicultural society, we celebrate the diversity and resilience of Forces families, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
